Packing clothes for Kenya walking safari

We want to travel very light for our 11 days Kenyan walking safari – carrying the minimum clothing possible and taking our bags as hand-luggage. How and what should we pack to travel light and still be comfortable during the safari in Kenya?

Clothes for Africa walking safari

You need a detailed safari packing list that mainly takes care of the absolutely essentials for a comfortable walking safari in Kenya. Lets start with walking boots: wear your boots during the flight this is already one heavy item that goes out of your bag. Make sure you bring light weight safari shirts, about 3 would do. A long sleeved shirt and a light jacket are a must carry and wearing them in-flight reduces your carry on luggage. Don?t forget trousers /shorts , a pair with detachable with zippers, is the most handy for a light safari packing. A collapsible safari hat completes the safari gear for a walking safari.

Consider that most lodges/camps have laundry service so you can give and to cut down cost, if you bring your laundry soap you can easily wash your safari clothing in your room. See more info on Africa safari clothes.
