Choosing between Meru and Samburu national park for birdwatching holiday in Kenya is difficult, because any of the two parks is absolutely worth coming a full birding vacation. With 3 days, the question is on what is
your birding objective. If you rush through for numbers and sites visited , then option is to split your time between Meru and Samburu. But if you want detailed and in-depth bird watching , I would recommend take one park and stay there longer. On quality of birding the parks are at par but other on accomodation Samburu has a wider range than Meru. However Meru wins in that it is less crowded and you virtually have the park to your self.
