I want to see many wildlife animals in Kenya during my safari

by Radley M
(Hong Kong)

I want to see very many wild animals in Kenya during my 7 days safari. Which national parks should I visit? My travel time is fixed as I can only take my vacations during the month of May.

How to plan a wildlife safari in Kenya
by: Anne Huysman , Ontdek Kenya

Hello Radley,

With proper planning 7 days of holiday safari in Kenya can give you an impressive list of wildlife animals seen while on safari. The decision of how you plan your safari in Kenya is usually a personal preference: would you be satisfied watching game with quality time or would you be going for "quantity" animals at the expense of the quality of the viewing.

With careful planning of your safari in Kenya, you can easily have the maximum number of animals in a quality way. Try to stay longer in a selected parks than packing too many national parks in 7 days. e.g Seeing elephants in Masai Mara is equally satisfying as seeing elephants in Tsavo, Amboseli allowing each a 1 or 2 days.

Consider taking a safari with Mara 3 nights and then spread it to Rift Valley and include Lake Nakuru national park to see rhinos. Contrary to popular safari belief , the Nakuru area is worth 2 whole days. Choose to stay in the private conservancies close to the park and you have the bets of both world, a lot of wildlife , great scenery and you will be away from mass tourism.

Time allowing put in one of the smaller parks or a private game conservancy where you can do walking safari , will not only give you good opportunities to see many wildlife animals in Kenya but is will also have some activity which will break the monotony of being in the safari vehicle for 7 days non-stop.
