can i take my dog with me to an african safari holiday

My dog is simply me best friend and we have been through a lot together. We have been holidays together in N.America and Europe and I now feel it is time for both of us to go on an African safari. We are both running out of time and seeing wildlife animals will be a big boost to our morale.

I've no problem with the extra holiday costs I will incur for my dog but do Africa tour operators, hotels and luxury safari camps accept dogs on safari?
