are there women hiking tours in Kenya and visits to weaving sites.

I travel for hiking and weaving. Do you have a women only tour that has good hiking ( at least 4 hours /day) and have visits to local weaving cottage set-ups. I don't want to visit commercial weaving factories, my interest is in traditional home-based weaving.

What a nice mix, women hiking vacations and weaving! Yes it is possible to take a women hiking vacation in Kenya and visit cottage weaving factories, which are mainly owned by women groups working on communal basis. You get to see the whole process from wool preparation, dying with locally available natural dyes,then the weaving, knitting and a chance to buy some very high quality mats, wall hangings, cardigans, shawls etc.

Let your outfitter for the women hiking holiday know that you are interested in visiting the weaving factory - if this is not included in the group itinerary find out if there is flexibility to have it included. Chances are that there may be more women in the group who might end up wanting to visit the weaving factory.
